We provide a wide range of services including new installations, septic tank removal and replacement, repair and maintenance services and compliance inspections. Let us help you keep your tank working for decades.

TYPES OF SEPTIC SYSTEMS

LEACH FIELD

A leach field system consists of a septic tank that discharges wastewater into a series of perforated pipes or chambers buried in a leach field. This is the most common septic system.
NPDES System

NPDES SYSTEM - ATU

Aerobic Treatment Units (ATUs) use oxygen to break down organic matter. The system injects oxygen via a pump into the septic tank.

MOUND SYSTEM

The Mound System is an engineered drain field used in areas where septic systems are more prone to failure due to soil conditions and proximity to bedrock and water table.
Drip System

DRIP SYSTEM

A Drip System is one which releases small amounts of wastewater at a time. Drips are the most aesthetically pleasing septic system. They have the most versatility in their ability to be divided up into different zones. Drips work very well in wooded areas because they allow the flexibility to divert around existing trees and landscaping.
Spray Irrigation

SPRAY IRRIGATION

Spray Irrigation is a method of disposing of secondary treated wastewater by spraying it on the land surface. This is a good alternative to a mound system because of the reduced footprint.

SEPTIC SYSTEM INSPECTIONS

Pursuant to Ohio Administrative Code Rule 3701-29-19 (D), Ohio County Boards of Health require the inspection of sewage treatment systems installed since 2007. Many counties also require homeowners to provide proof of a service agreement with a certified service provider.

SEPTIC SYSTEMS INSPECTIONS & MAINTENANCE PLANS

SEPTIC SYSTEM INSPECTIONS

A properly maintained septic system can help protect your family’s health, the environment, and can save you a lot of money on repairs. Residential septic systems should be regularly inspected by a local service provider. An inspection today can prevent a costly repair tomorrow.

Many local health departments and lending institutions require a home to pass a point-of-sale septic inspection before the sale of the home (or transfer of title) can be completed. In fact, when not required, we always recommend homebuyers get point-of-sale inspections whenever buying a home that relies on a septic system. A point-of-sale inspection is a thorough examination of a septic system, including its history and layout. It also includes a series of on-site tests to ensure the system is functioning properly. A&D Excavating is a licensed O&M provider for all systems currently used in Ohio. We perform periodic inspections and offer routine and emergency septic services. OPERATION & MAINTENANCE PLANS

Ohio requires all septic owners to have an operation and maintenance (O&M) plan with an approved septic provider. These updated regulations are an attempt to mitigate the environmental and health hazards of failing septic systems by ensuring every system throughout the state is properly maintained. With an operation & maintenance plan, your system has a complete, documented history, including information on all service visits, repairs, and upgrades.
